This is the question that has baffled – and keeps baffling – billions of people worldwide. Almost every adult, from whatever race, gender, religion or political affiliation has wondered about why we exist. However, in the end, almost all of us agree that we will never know 100%, and the purpose of life will remain a mystery. On the other hand, there always is a chance that it’s all just a random coincidence.
But that’s talking about life in general…
Your life is a different matter altogether. It is YOUR life for a reason; you make your choices and decisions…you also decide your purpose.
Many people live their lives without passion and without purpose, and that’s a very sad thing to see. Others live with a purpose which is not their own: they major in things they don’t like and marry people they don’t know simply because they have fully trusted another person to decide the purpose of their life, and this is even worse to behold.
What each one of us needs to do is to choose what to believe in and to decide what we want our life to mean for us and for the people around us. If it makes you happy to believe in a god, then by all means believe. If it makes you happy to believe there is a higher purpose, believe it. If it makes you happy to believe in reincarnation, go for it. In the end, the universe will keep moving whether or not you believe it is. In the grand scheme of things, you may either be an insignificant spec of dust floating around aimlessly in space, or you may be a driving force without which the universe will cease to exist.
But how can you know which one you are?
